Scheduling and Attendance

You should be here and ready to work at your scheduled time. And you are expected to stay until your work is done.

You’re sick or have an emergency that prevents you from working…
Call the restaurant and speak to the manager on duty. Release your shift on HotSchedules. A doctor’s note or other documentation is required.

You’re going to be late…
Call the restaurant and speak to the manager on duty.

You don’t want to work a scheduled shift…
Release it on HotSchedules then do your best to find somebody to pick it up. The shift remains your responsibility until the shift transaction has been approved by a manager.

You want to pick up some hours…
If you find someone willing to give up a shift, you can initiate a “Swap” transaction. You are not approved to take that shift until it has been approved by a manager on HotSchedules. You can also set up an auto-pickup so if someone releases a shift during the auto-pickup time, HotSchedules will automatically request it for you and submit it to management for approval.

You want time off…
Request time off in HotSchedules under the “Home” tab. Please do this as soon as you know you have plans for any time within your availability.

You want to change your availability…
Use the settings tab in HotSchedules to request a change in your availability.

You can’t figure out how to do something on HotSchedules…
HotSchedules has excellent support articles and videos and a 24 x 7 support number. Go to bojoes.com/crew to see links to key support articles and the phone number. If you’ve made a good faith effort to figure it out and still can’t, then we can help you. But not knowing how to do something is not a reason not to follow these policies.
